Almost any. Like all Fittes floor vents, this minimalist framed floor vent is compatible with tile, hardwood, carpet, vinyl, laminate, cork, and more. For Lite models, the surface material must be between ⅛” and ¾” thick.

Can I use this vent on floors, walls, and ceilings?
The minimalist Framed Floor Vent + Insert [Lite] is designed for heavy materials like tile and wood. It works on floors, and walls that are tiled or wood panelled, but is not compatible with drywall and would not work on ceilings.

Do you make custom sizes or colors?
No, we don’t offer custom sizes or colors.
Can I customize the insert at a later stage?
Yes! Changed your mind? Changed your flooring? The retrofit floor vent cover in this vent can be used either as a temporary solution (if you’re not ready to install flooring right away) or as a permanent option if you prefer.
Can the insert be customized?
The Floor Insert [Lite] is not designed for customization.
Can I paint the insert to match my flooring?
You can, but we don’t recommend it as paint tends to wear off quickly on high-traffic surfaces. If you do choose to paint it, we recommend using a primer and an appropriate paint for durability.
